You must have heard that it’s a Chinese product, it doesn’t have any warranty. Yes, we often use Chinese products in synonyms to no warranty. And let us tell you that’s true to say that because whenever you import any products from China the supplier doesn’t offer any warranty to you.

The supplier has no incentives to offer any replacement or free return policies for the products manufactured by them.
Then what to do if you get any defective product? Can you bare loss in any stage of business. You are there to do business with profit or loss? Don’t you want with few steps or careful apprehension you get whatever best you deserve.

There are two separate warranty issues. The first is the warranty for defects in the product as delivered. The second is the warranty on defects that appear only after use. For warranty defects that can be discovered on inspection before or when delivered.

China Factory Warranty Option 

The product is inspected in China prior to shipment.

If a defect is discovered,  The defective product is not shipped. In some cases, it makes sense to require that the product be destroyed or recycled or The manufacturer is required to reduce the amount of its invoice by the amount of product rejected.

The Chinese manufacturer warrants that your product will meet certain specifications till shipping.

You inspect your product when it arrives at your port. No payment is made until the product has been inspected. Under this approach, the product is inspected within a specific time frame. If defects are discovered, destroy, replace, recycle or less payment is done by buyer. Chinese manufacturers normally agree to this approach only where there are large purchases in fixed amounts for a fixed time period. They normally will not agree for unspecified “per purchase order” purchase arrangements. Because the quantities you will be buying are quite large, or if payment has done prior to shipment you make them convince to credit in next purchase. I suggest try to get your manufacturer to agree to this option.

But no supplier easily convince for this warranty services. You need effective communication and partner who can take weight on his shoulder to get you warranty and  can save you by  trap.

Otherwise you are trapped into making purchases from a company that makes defective product. Chinese factories usually do not offer any after-purchase warranty. In other words, the traditional approach in China has been to say, you must find the defect on inspection and if you fail to find one, that’s on you

The warranty issue for China is quite complex and much of the procedure depends on payment terms and place of inspection.
